Teach Me the Way I Learn

Learn how you can help your loved one with Down syndrome of any age to achieve their best life! DSAMT Executive Director, Alecia Talbott, will share common strengths and weaknesses in learning, along with learning profiles of individuals with Down syndrome. Best-practice, researched methods will be discussed using real life examples, so you will be equipped with expert tools that will help your child.

IN PERSON School Advocacy Boot Camp for Parents of Elementary, Middle and High School Students (11 remaining)

Thursdays, August 31, September 7 and 14, 6:00pm 8:00pm
FULL TRAINING IS ALL 3 DATES!
This three-week training program will cover the basics of your child's educational rights, strategies for advocating for those rights, your child's right to education in the Least Restrictive Environment, and how to navigate behavioral challenges in the school setting.

Led by Erin Richardson, DSAMT's Director of Policy and Advocacy, each session will include 1.5 hours of instruction/training and 30 minutes for questions and discussion. Participants who attend all three sessions (in-person or via Zoom) will receive a free gift at the end of the training.

This training will be available both at the DSAMT office (1310 Central Court, Hermitage, TN 37076) and online.
